The Icelandic Human Rights Center is a participant to The Human Rights Education Project (HREP) which is a collaborative venture with the University for Peace (UPEACE) and Holland‘s government. The venture consists of three books and a multimedia CD. The first part is the Human Rights 
Reference Handbook, an overview of human rights terminology, judgements and the international systems which promote the protection of human rights. The second part is Human Rights Instruments, a summary of agreements, international declarations and various documents regarding human rights. The third part is the Universal and Regional Human Rights Protection; Cases and Commentaries, which contains extracts of judgements and a discussion on decisions of the United Nations‘ Human Rights Committee, the European Human Rights Court, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and the African Commission on Human and People‘s Rights. The multimedia CD, Human Rights Ideas, Concepts and Fora, contains these three books as well as conventions, judgements and supporting material.

In March 2009 the eighth edition of Human Rights Instruments was published and in April 2010 the fifth edition of the Human Rights Reference Handbook was published.
